Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a disabling disease with unknown etiology. There is accumulating evidence of altered cardiovascular autonomic responses to different somatic stressors, in particular orthostatic stress, whereas autonomic responses to mental stress remain to be investigated.

A virus long suspected to have links to CFS...as this artcle states, "some health professionals claim that EBV is the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. "Public health officials have been working for months to understand whether the XMRV virus poses a risk to the nation’s blood supply.
